LACORS marked World Environment Day (5th June) with the launch of its updated Climate Change Toolkit.
The toolkit highlights the ways in which councils are reducing their community's carbon footprint through initiatives like home energy grants, park and ride schemes and car clubs. It also provides information on projects including sustainable food procurement, bringing empty homes back into use and differential parking charges. A separate section looks at adaptation.
The toolkit will be particularly useful for those councils that have included national performance indicators relating to climate change mitigation and adaptation in their local area agreement (LAA).
The online version of the toolkit is below. Hard copies can be requested by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
To utilise the web links in the Toolkit you will need version 8 of Adobe Acrobat which is available as a free download from the Adobe website
