Use of the results
In addition to adding to the evidence base against which future trends and regional and national variations can be compared, some of the results might also be used to help emphasize the need for food business operators and food handlers not to become complacent about safety in relation to raw meat. In particular cross contamination issues, and the need to cook raw burgers etc properly. To help in this area LACORS intends to provide a basic leaflet which draws on some of the headline results of this study which can be shared with food businesses. This will be posted on this webpage in due course after consultation.
