IMSN (International Marketing Supervision Network) The International Marketing Supervision Network (IMSN) is a membership organization consisting of the trade practices law enforcement authorities of more than two dozen countries, most of which are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The mandate of the Network is to share information about cross-border commercial activities that may affect consumer interests, and to encourage international cooperation among law enforcement agencies. The Network operates under a rotating presidency, currently held by Switzerland.

PROSAFE (Product Safety Enforcement Forum of Europe) www.prosafe.org PROSAFE is an organisation established entirely by enforcement officers throughout Europe who deal with the safety of consumer products. PROSAFE online enables these officers to overcome some of the physical barriers that separate colleagues throughout the European economic area. It allows efficient and effective communication and provides an opportunity to raise awareness of enforcement structures and practices. Although systems of enforcement vary considerably throughout Europe, information is presented using a standard format. The main aim of PROSAFE online is to enable co-ordination of community wide enforcement activities in high risk areas. The development of this web site has been part funded by the Commission of the European Communities Health & Consumer Protection Directorate General.

FLEP (European Forum of Food Law Enforcement Practitioners) www.flep.org The EC-Symposium on "Food Control" Rome 1989 identified the need to a create facility which would allow representatives of European food control authorities to meet, exchange information and address inconsistencies and practical enforcement difficulties. The Dutch Inspectorate for Health Protection responded to this challenge by inviting enforcement directors from other Member States to a meeting in the Hague in October 1990. During this meeting the delegates agreed to establish an informal European Forum of Food Law Enforcement Practitioners (FLEP). The aims include acquaintancy, exchange of information and cooperation between European colleages in order to further develop mutual confidence and trust in the resolution of practical control problems and to promote adoption of good practices.

WELMEC (European Cooperation in Legal Metrology) www.welmec.org The principal aim of WELMEC is to establish a harmonised and consistent approach to European legal metrology. Currently 28 countries are represented on the WELMEC committee. Much of WELMEC's work is done by its Working Groups. These groups produce guidance documents which are available on the website
